Rangers had several new signings on show for this game, central
defender Morrison has come from Rob-Roy although only for a short stay
before emigrating to USA but will provide cover while Greg McDonald is
unavailable. Striker Max Asante has come from Petershill and Lee Sichi
from Maryhill. Jamie Gallacher has been transferred to Stoneyburn.
Next Saturday Rangers get back to league business when joint leaders, Largs
Thistle, come to Duncansfield and will provide a stiff test. It is
important that Rangers take something from this match to avoid being

News 2007/08 Season
The AGM of the club was held in the club hut last Sunday 11/05/08 and was a
rather low key affair despite the poor results of the past year.
There was little dissent from the floor as it was revealed thet the
club finances were still in relatively good shape despite the early
exits from all the cup competitions and the very poor league showing.
It was felt that perhaps we had given the previous manager too much
time and action should have been taken earlier to look for a
replacement. There had been almost a complete turnaround in playing
staff and some quality replacements would be sought for the start of
the new season. The committee were reappointed en-masse but it was
disappointing that no new members came forward to assist. Membership
fees will be unchanged and no new Honorary members were elected.

Rangers scheduled fixture at Auchinleck (23rd Feb) last Saturday was once again a
victim of the weather. Word was received early on saturday morning that
the pitch was unplayable after heavy overnight rain. This was the
fourth postponement of this game since the first attempt to play it in
November and it adds to the fixture pile-up now reaching crisis point
for some clubs, Auchinleck have only fulfilled nine of their twenty two
league games are still in the Scottish cup and several other local cup
competitions. Rangers have to meet them both home and away and it is
difficult to see when these games will take place. Elsewhere Bellshill
Athletic continued their recent run of form with a win over league
leaders, Irvine Meadow and Shotts Bon Accord improved their chances of
remaining in the Premier division with a good win at Neilston.
Meanwhile manager Matt Coulter continues to ring the changes at
Duncansfield; recently signed are Paul Doyle, defender from East
Stirlingshire, Graeme Meechan from Kings Park Amatuers, Willie Blair is
likely to come in from Camelon and goalkeeper Greg Mitchell is awaiting
reinstatement from East Stirlingshire. Tom McLaughlin has left. Also
gone are Martin Feenie and Steven Mullen.
The game this Saturday is at home to Shotts Bon Accord which will
allow fans to see some of the new signings in action, kick-off is 2pm.
Tam McLaughlin has left the the club, mutual consent as i understand. All the best Tam in the future.

The new manager is today named as Matt Coulter. Matt (44) is currently
assisting at Livingstone United but is keen to get back into the
Juniors. He has very extensive experience both as a player and also at
management level within the junior grade mainly in the East Region but
also played at Cambuslang. He played with many of the top teams in that
region including Broxburn, Whitburn and Linlithgow. Managed at
Stoneyburn and Armadale.Works as a Sales manager and is well known
throughout the Junior game. He takes over officially after todays match
against Pollok.

Saturdays (23rd) scheduled fixture at Auchinleck fell victim to the weather in
common with most other West Region games. This Saturday Rangers are down
to meet Pollok at home, K.O. 1-45pm The vacant managers post has been
advertised and several applications have now been received, it is hoped to
begin the interview process immediately after the Chrismas break. Martin
Feenie remains in charge as interim caretaker manager but has indicated a
desire to move away once a new team is in charge. An offer has been received
from Petershill for Jamie McCarroll and he is likely to move on.
